FIRST-TIMER’S GUIDE
First Time at a Haunted House?
Never been to a haunted house? Here’s what a night at Twisted Crypt is like, from the parking lot to the way out.
How the Night Goes
Get your tickets
Buy online ahead of time, especially the closer it gets to Halloween, or pay at the door with cash, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. General Admission is $20, FastPass $30 and VIP $40. Compare passes
Park and get in line
Parking is free, and the lot fits every guest. The wait can be a few minutes, or an hour or more right around Halloween. On busy nights the line extends outside, under cover. FastPass and VIP get you in faster.
Quick security check
Every guest is metal-wanded at entry, so leave pocket knives and similar items in the car. Masks and props stay at home or in the car, too.
The lobby show
The show starts in the lobby with fog, lights and interactive actors. That part runs about 15 to 20 minutes.
Into the house
Then you walk through 14 rooms and 10,000 square feet of indoor terror with more than 40 live actors, The Family. Plan on about 20 to 25 minutes inside.
Make it out
Photos and video are welcome outside and in the lobby, so grab your group shot there. No photos or video inside the haunt.
Good to Know
What it’s like inside
- The house uses strobe lights, fog, loud sound and strong smells.
- Content is PG-13. Our actors avoid language and situations beyond that rating.
- It’s all indoors and climate controlled, so rain won’t stop the show.
- Fully accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
- A dedicated security team watches the attraction at all times, and medical response staff are on site for emergencies.
First-timer tips
- Lines get longest on Fridays, Saturdays and Halloween week. Come early in the season, or skip the line with FastPass or VIP.
- Costume shirts, headbands and glow bracelets are usually fine. Masks and props are not.
- Restrooms are portable toilets on site, so go before you get in line.
- If you’re sensitive to strobes or fog, are pregnant, or have a heart or breathing condition, think carefully before entering.
- Follow directions from staff and security at all times. Tickets are non-refundable.
Bringing someone younger?
- Recommended for ages 13 and up. There’s no strict age limit.
- Guests 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
- Little ones can try the Crypt Kids Lights On Tour: trick-or-treat through the haunted house with the lights on, Saturday, Oct 17, 4–6 PM, $7 per person.
Keep an eye out
Every night, Tavis hides Uncle Ellis’ eye somewhere inside. Find it, take it out front to security and win two free tickets to a 2026 night.
