THE STORY BEHIND TWISTED CRYPT

Meet The Family

Out on the edge of Rockford lives the Duson family, a backwoods clan with an appetite for visitors. Tonight they’ve sent you to find Smitty and bring back the “ingredients” for dinner. It’s a trap. It always is.

Who’s Waiting Inside

More than 40 members of The Family work the house every night. A few you may meet:

The scare starts before you get inside. Music, fog and members of The Family work the covered line and the lobby while you wait.

The house

Fourteen rooms of special effects, strobes, fog and strong smells, from mummified bodies on the walls to the new-for-2026 butcher room, with old meatpacking footage and the stench of rotting meat.

Actor-driven

The Family is live, interactive and personal. They’ll hand you tasks along the way, and every group gets a different show.

PG-13 terror

Intense, dark and loud, but the language and situations stay PG-13. Recommended for ages 13 and up.
