Worth the Drive from Dixon and Sterling

Getting here from Dixon and Sterling

• Take I-88 east (the Reagan Tollway) to I-39.
• Take I-39 north to Rockford, exit onto US-20 west, then take the Alpine Road exit.
• Go north on Alpine Road about 3 miles, turn right on East State Street, then left on Newtowne Drive. We’re behind Tom & Jerry’s and Uncle Nick’s.

I-88 is the Reagan Tollway. I-PASS and E-ZPass work on Illinois tollways, or you can pay online afterward. Rather skip the tollway? IL-2 north through Oregon and Byron also gets you to Rockford.

• Younger kids? The Crypt Kids Lights On Tour (lights on, candy and small toys, $7 per person) is Saturday, Oct 17, 4–6 PM.
