Worth the Drive from Iowa & the Quad Cities
Twisted Crypt is about two hours from Dubuque and a little more from the Quad Cities. Guests make the trip every season, and they tell us it’s worth the drive.
Getting here from Iowa and the Quad Cities
- From Dubuque: take US-20 east through Galena and Freeport to Rockford, then follow US-20 Business (State Street) east across town to East State Street.
- From the Quad Cities: take I-88 east to I-39 north, then US-20 west to South Alpine Road. Take Alpine north to East State Street and turn right (east).
- We’re behind Tom & Jerry’s and Uncle Nick’s, between Rockford University and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.
Part of I-88 is the Reagan Tollway. I-PASS and E-ZPass work on Illinois tollways, or you can pay online afterward. Hotels and restaurants cluster around the I-90 and State Street exit, a couple of miles from us.
